Steering Group

All the activities of Family Voice Norfolk are overseen by a volunteer Steering Group, made up of between 6 and 14 parents, grandparents or family carers. The group meet regularly and play a vital role in overseeing the strategic direction of Family Voice Norfolk.

Current Steering Group:

Tracey

TRACEY S - I am married to David and we have three boys. Our youngest boy has Down's Syndrome, associated behavioural and hearing difficulties that impact on all of our lives. I live in the West so I understand the difficulties of people who live in more isolated areas.

KAREN W - Mum to two teenagers with very different additional needs. During my earlier career I worked as an adviser to small businesses, helping them to access the help and support that they needed especially during the early stages. Following my son's diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder I felt compelled to use those skills to help to improve the outcomes for children with disabilities and their families and soon found myself totally immersed in this new world! I now thoroughly enjoy working nationally as a trainer and an adviser alongside parent carers and practitioners. I hope one way or another to make a small difference to the lives of disabled children and their families.

Alison F

ALISON F - Hi, I’m Alison. I am married and have two sons aged 20 and 18, the eldest is autistic.  Outside of Family Voice I have been involved for 8 years, supporting parents and young  people in navigating the education system. I am currently the Treasurer for Family Voice.

I am a research scientist by profession and have been a Governor at The Clare School in Norwich for more than 10 years.
